Swiss Property Tax Service
Swiss Property Tax Service – Current Status
At this time, we do not offer a dedicated Swiss property tax service. Real estate tax questions are only addressed where they form part of a broader engagement, for example inheritance tax work or comprehensive Swiss income and wealth tax mandates.
Current scope: no stand-alone property tax mandates
We currently do not take on Swiss property tax matters as a separate, stand-alone service. Our Swiss private client practice is centred on:
- Inheritance and gift tax at canton level
- Wealth tax for high-net-worth individuals
- Cross-border income tax engagements involving Switzerland, the US or Germany
Real estate may be considered within these mandates – for example when property forms part of a Swiss estate, drives wealth tax exposure, or is relevant for cross-border income tax planning. In such cases, property-related questions are addressed as an integrated element of the broader engagement, not as a separate service line.
Where to start instead
If your main concern is tax on Swiss real estate, it is often helpful to clarify whether the topic belongs primarily to inheritance, wealth or income tax. Depending on your profile, the following pages may be more relevant starting points:
- Swiss Inheritance Tax Service – for estates and intergenerational transfers involving property.
- Swiss Wealth Tax Service – where property is part of a larger asset base and overall wealth tax exposure is the key issue.
- Swiss Inheritance, Wealth & Property Tax Guide – for technical background and self-study.
Talk to us about your Swiss property
If your situation touches on inheritance, wealth or cross-border income tax, we are happy to clarify whether your property questions can be addressed within a broader engagement. We do not, however, offer a pure Swiss property tax service at this time.
